UPDATE:  Friday, May 15, 2021

MLC’s Board of Lay Ministry voted to resume public worship on June 13 and 14, 2020, based on Governor Murphy’s announcement that he is increasing the number of people allowed at indoor public gatherings as of June 12.

Although we are eager to get together again, whether to attend is an individual decision and no one should feel pressured to do so.   If your health is compromised or you are up in years, we urge you to wait a little longer to attend worship and instead encourage you to continue to participate in the online services Pastor Vogel is offering, or by using devotions and sermons that are mailed out. (These worship aids will continue.)

1.   We will have one service each weekend on Sunday at 10 AM, with attendance capped at 80.

2.   Individuals will need to sign up for the Sunday service, so that we do not have to turn anyone away at the door.

       a.  You can sign up now by clicking this link: sign up – click here

       b.  In addition, you can sign up via email or telephone call

       c.  If you email or call, please tell us which service you prefer and also give us a second and third choice.
Contact   us at  (856) 665-0116   or    email us at    .

       d.  Tell us how many people are in your party.

3.   The service time will be
    10 AM on Sunday

4.   The service will be shortened so it takes under 50 minutes in entirety with fewer songs and an abbreviated liturgy.

5.   Each service will include the Lord’s Supper at the conclusion. There will be a final blessing as individuals receive
the blood of Christ so they can go directly to their cars in the parking lot after they commune.

Social Distancing

1.   All individuals who come to worship must wear a mask   throughout the entire service   from entering until
exiting (except for while receiving the Sacrament).

2.   Unless you need the elevator, please use the ramp door to enter the church. The Terrace Avenue door will remain
locked and should not be used.

3.   Upon entry to the building, you will pick up a service folder (bulletin) and have an opportunity to drop your
offering in a plate. (Please take the folder home with you.)

4.   The pews have been taped to show which pews are available and you will be ushered to a particular pew.

5.   Maintain at least six feet between individuals, unless they are members of the same household (spouses,

6.   Pastor Vogel will be masked and will wear gloves during the service.

7.   A careful procedure for Communion that allows social distancing will be explained during the service.

8.   Feel free to meet and talk with other members in the parking lot outside after the service. We do ask all members
to maintain the six-foot distance rule and wear a mask as they talk together outside.

9.   The church will be sanitized after each service (volunteers to help with this are needed).

Assistance Needed
1.     We need 2 or 3 people to usher for each service and, if possible, to assist in sanitizing.

2.     Two or three people will be able to sanitize the church in about 30 minutes.

3.     If you can, try to avoid using the restroom unless you need it urgently. We ask anyone who uses a restroom to do
a quick cleaning of surfaces touched (toilet seat, flush handle, door handle, sink). Spray disinfectant, rubber
gloves, and paper towels will be available.

4.     If you are able to assist in this, please leave a message at the church (856-665-0116).

If you have questions or concerns, please contact   Pastor Vogel (856-265-7275),   Steve Lange (856-461-2996),
or any other lay minister.

Yours in Christ,
Martin Luther Chapel Board of Lay Ministry
