Reading and Topical Studies Each Sunday

Reading and Topical Studies Each Sunday

Reading studies

Many Bible studies can be boring and uninteresting but these are not. The class reads the portion of the Bible together and the Pastor makes a running commentary asking questions as the people seek the depth of meaning in the Word of God. Each question is taken seriously and the studies are give and take for the greatest understanding of any given passage and how that passage fits into the whole of Scripture using the tools of understanding as we know them. This is a blessed time with light breakfast refreshments and a great way to start off the Sunday Day of the Lord.

Topical Studies

Topical studies are those where one topic is discussed using all the Bible as a infallible resource. Some topics have included the end of time, the role of single people in the church, the Book of Concord, How to Interpret Scripture, and more. The topics are generally selected by the class and then the Pastor assembles a study on that topic taking questions and giving answers from the group along the way. If you like to study the Bible on your own, you can only imagine the resource of having a well-educated Pastor who's career it is to make the Bible plain to those who desire know it.
